# VIDEO: Design (3/8): How to Choose a Template (Theme)

## Transcript

To change the default template installed on your website, log in to your Admin Area and navigate to **Design** \> **Template**. The template currently installed displays at the top. Below, you'll find a full gallery of our templates. You can scroll through them using the pagination, or you can sort through them by color, price, category, or industry.

To narrow the display down to apparel options only, for example, check the **Apparel** box under the **Industry** filter. Then you can use the pagination or apply more filters, if you like. To see a larger image of the template, click the **View** option or the thumbnail itself.

When you find a template you like, simply click **Get it** on the detail page, or on the gallery page. This populates the selection to the **Saved Templates** tab at the top. This list contains all templates you can install. Press **Preview** to see how the template would look on your homepage when applied to your store. To install it, press **Activate**.

For those who wish to make customizations, a **Duplicate** option is available for all saved templates. You can then customize the duplicate at **Design** \> **File Editor** without fear of damaging the original.

Also, be aware that we offer responsive templates that display your store optimally regardless the visitor's device, be it a desktop computer, a tablet, or a smart phone. For more information, check out our video called "Responsive Templates."
