# ShipStation Integration With Volusion API

ShipStation is a web-based shipping solution that streamlines the order fulfillment process for online retailers. With real-time integrations into popular marketplaces like eBay, Amazon, Sears, Etsy and Newegg, ShipStation handles everything from order import and batch label creation to customer communication. As a cloud-based software solution, ShipStation is compatible on both Mac and PCs through any web browser from anywhere!
## Getting Started
Integration with ShipStation requires access to the Volusion API, which is available on Business or Prime monthly hosting plans.

Once you've established an account with ShipStation, you can follow the instructions below to integrate it with your Volusion store.
## Integrating Volusion with ShipStation
To get started, log in to your ShipStation account and follow these steps:
1. Click the **Settings** icon (gear wheel) in the top navigation bar, then select **Selling Channels** from the left navigation.
2. Click **Connect a Store or Marketplace** and select **Volusion** from the list of options.
3. Follow the instructions provided.**\***
4. Enter the information associated with your Volusion store.
**\***Steps 2 and 3 of the ShipStation instructions suggest creating a new administrator account specifically for the ShipStation integration. Volusion does not recommend this method, as it is unnecessary and may become a security issue in the future! We recommend that merchants skip steps 2 and 3, and instead use the API URL generated for their regular admin account.
Any time you update the password for your admin account, you can easily copy the new Volusion API URL and replace it using the same method outlined above. For more information, see "[The Volusion API](https://help.volusion.com/s/TheVolusionAPI?hsLang=en-us) "!
