This article covers how to accept credit card payments through our partnership with Stripe.

Connect to Stripe

During your initial configuration of the Settings app, if you selected Stripe or PayPal and Stripe, you'll have to connect an existing or new Stripe account to your store.

To resume configuration:

  1. Go to your Settings app.
  2. Press the Payments tab.
  3. Locate the Stripe section. In the Email address field, enter the address of your existing Stripe account. If you don't have a Stripe account, we'll create a new one for you using the email address you enter here.  
  4. When you're ready to continue, press Connect Account
  5. If there isn't yet a Stripe account associated with your email address, you'll receive an email from Stripe to set your password and access your Stripe dashboard. If you already have a Stripe account, you'll be prompted to log in.

After you complete the appropriate steps, the Action Required label in the Stripe section of the page will switch to Active and the Stripe Not Connected toggle will change to Stripe Enabled.

Please keep in mind that Stripe is a third-party payment processing vendor with its own terms of service and pricing. For questions, you can search their documentation or use their online support. You can also contact them directly.

Note that some businesses are prohibited from using the service. We can't guarantee Stripe will approve your application or offer you ongoing service. For other payment options, see "Settings App: Payments".
