Adding a dedicated Blog Page is quick and easy using VOLT's Site Designer Blog Block.

Adding the Blog Block

To add a Blog to your site, open the Site Designer feature by clicking the Site Designer icon in the Left Navigation Menu on your store's Dashboard.

The Blog Block can be added to any page. To properly display your Blog, consider adding a dedicated Blog Page, as outlined in this ARTICLE.

After choosing your page using the Page: Home dropdown menu at the top of the page, add the Blog Block by clicking the Plus Sign icon on the page.

Editing the Blog Block

On the left, you will see the Add a Block menu. Choose the Misc option and then locate the Blog Block. Click the Add Block button for the Blog Block.

The block has now been added to the Blog Page. To personalize the block, mouse over it and click the Edit button that appears at the top left corner of the block.

In the Blog URL field, add the URL for your WordPress blog. Only WordPress blogs are supported at this time. Do not add https:// to your Blog URL.

Using the dropdown menu, choose your Page Type.

The List of Posts option shows snippets of your recent posts, with the maximum number of posts shown controlled by the Max Posts Per Page slider. This option also displays two filter options, Filter by Category and Filter by Tag, that allow readers to narrow the scope of the information they are seeing. The number of Category and Tag Filters are also controlled by sliders.

The Post Only option will show your most recent post. The Max Posts per Page slider has no effect on this option.

A set of directions for the List of Posts option is listed.

A set of directions for the Post Only option is also listed. The Post Only option requires a modification to the Blog URL settings.

When your edits to the Blog Block are complete, click the Done button at the bottom of the Blog Edit Block popout.

Your final step should be to click the green Publish button at the top right of the Site Designer page. Until this button is clicked your changes will not be visible on your storefront.
